Hey DIYers,
I came across this pin years ago, and we’ve made these a total of 6 times, I wanted to share the step-by-step instructions, because it’s a very cheap alternative to decorate in a bold way! I included pictures of where we put our “canvases” and a link to the original post so you can read that too!
What You Should Know:
• Engineering Prints are blurry compared to a normal photo, I personally like that look!
• Engineering Prints are Black and White.
• If you do your faces….prepare for it to be awkward seeing a huge blown up picture of your face on the wall lol, seriously we opted to only do the back of us, a Magic Kingdom castle photo, and our baby on the 2nd set.
• These are SO lightweight, which is awesome because you don’t need to damage your walls, but because they’re paper, you have to be careful not to tear them as you work.

Supplies
• One foam Insulation Board cut into 3 pieces $12 (3/4 x 4 x 8)
• Engineering Prints of your pictures…less than $8 each (36” x 48”) You can order online!
• Foam Adhesive Spray $4
• Optional: Scotch tape and damage free hanging tabs
Unroll your engineering print, and place one foam board down, we put ours on a folding table in the garage so we would shift it around as we went. Lightly saturate the foam board with adhesive spray working quickly (we did it in two parts-top half then bottom half), lower the engineering print onto the sprayed foam board. Use a flat tool or your arms to smooth out any bubbles as you go.
Two people doing this really helps because you have to move quickly, and the adhesive sticks fast so there really isn’t time to realign your print if you make a mistake ?
Now that you have your print covering the board, flip it over (your print will be face down) and begin wrapping the pieces of the print that hang over. When you get to the corners do them just like you’re wrapping a gift. Lightly spray the outline of the back and secure down what you just folded.
We used scotch tape for extra support….since engineering prints are just paper, tape works great.
Final step: Tab them up to your walls 🙂
