About your “Abouts”
One of my favorite jobs is writing web content and various “about” pages for businesses, every once in a while, someone will reach out with a “unique” business name, then when I find out there’s a story behind this business name, I feel like I hit the jackpot, and here’s why:
If you can subconsciously link your brand to a short and/or significant story in someone’s mind, you’ve just given yourself INCREDIBLE “stickability” when it comes to:
-Precise Searches online (they remember you)
– Referrals (on autopilot)
-Free advertising (them repeating your story)
Just last week I had a client tell me the meaning behind the name of her graphic design business, which linked paper to a flavor….long story short, when she first disclosed her business name, I thought it was a little bit confusing, as a simple minded human (lol), I just didn’t “get it” right off the bat! My mind couldn’t seem to link the business name, with the industry she excels in.
Then, once she told me the meaning behind it, there was a 180 degree memory shift, the name was simple, but suddenly stood out because she basically ingrained her website link in my mind with the short tale she told. I honestly can’t get it out of my head and maybe I never will, #marketinggoals
P.S. My name?
I chose www.yournewwriter.com, because…..I would LOVE to be YOUR NEW WRITER (see what I did there?)
