Why Doesn’t Lamborghini Advertise? They do!

Copywriting Here & There…but Not Everywhere

Copywriting by definition, is writing with a practical purpose. Most businesses realize they must use copywriting for informing, persuading, and selling their products or services, because effective copy is bar none the best marketing tool they have.

Here’s the catch, excellent copy in the wrong placement is not effective at all, and in some instances becomes completely contradictory to your brand.

Q:How Do the Big Companies Advertise?  A: “I Woke Up in a New Bugatti”-Ace Hood

An example you may have heard, is the question: Why don’t you see commercials or ads for Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Rolls Royce? Some of the answers include:

-The people who can afford them aren’t sitting on the couch watching TV (Yikes…Burn!)
&
-They’re in high demand because of limited quantities, thus no need to push their vehicles.

There’s quite a bit of truth to both of those answers, television commercials aren’t a decent medium for these brands, if you saw them advertise regularly between shows, they simply wouldn’t be the “luxury leaders” they are today. It’s also true there has always been a supply and demand strategy keeping them exclusive to the demographics they target.

Does this mean the wealthy are standing in line at these manufacturers waiting to get their hands on the next vehicle, while these “big dogs” don’t pay a penny for copywriting, or advertising? No.

2.) VIP clubs and concierge teams
